December 05, 2008 - Marcie Wolf of AlphaGeek Web Design is the recipient of the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year Award for 2008. The award, which was presented at the 17th Annual Breakfast for Champions on Tuesday, December 2nd, is given to a member of the Ambassador Committee who enthusiastically promotes the mission, programs and members of the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce.
The PRCC Ambassador Committee is described as the chamber's "FUN-raising" committee. Incoming PRCC Board Chairman Keith Williams pointed out that the upbeat demeanor of Marcie played an integral part when choosing her as the recipient, not to mention her dedication to expanding the chamber member base.
"Her energy, her infectious laugh and her enthusiasm for the chamber have actually brought new members to our organization," Williams said.
Marcie tried to eschew individual praise and said she owes a lot to the whole group.
"The Ambassadors are a group of fun dedicated people," she said. "And to be the one who won the award means a great deal to me because we’re all deserving."
Marcie is also active with niche networking groups in the PRCC such as Entrepreneur Club of Emmet County and Connecting Women in Business, and serves on the Marketing Committee for Petoskey's Festival on the Bay. Marcie is also Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society.
