September 25, 2009 - Toronto, Canada - GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) provides its 3Com compatible 1000Base-T SFP transceiver for copper networks, which is a hot-pluggable I/O device that plugs into module sockets. The SFP transceivers connect the electrical circuitry of the module with optical or copper network and are fully compatible with original 3Com transceivers. The transceivers can be used in conjunction with any GBIC module supported by 3Com devices. They are designed for 10 Gigabit per second SONET/SDH, Fibre Channel, gigabit Ethernet, 10 gigabit Ethernet and other applications like DWDM links.
The transceiver, model 3CSFP93, features great flexibility: if the host device supports protocol transparency, one can build a tremendous variety of applications with a very small number of host system types. The transceiver also can be easily removed from the host device. It provides the maximum cable length for 1000Base-T SFP module copper connections of 100 meters and supports connection with patch cords with PC or UPC connectors.
