April 07, 2007 - The following question was asked and the results are as follows: "As we quickly approach the conclusion of the first quarter, how did actual sales results compare to your plan?" Almost half of our respondents, a stunning 47 percent, said they did "worse than predicted" while 24 percent were "right on plan". Another 24 percent stated they were "slightly below plan" and finally, a dismal 6 percent chose "better than expected".
As we stated earlier, this certainly is not good news for business. It will be interesting to see in the next few weeks how the actual sales reports compare to our poll.
