Austin-San Marcos, TX (1888PressRelease)
January 19, 2008 - Possibility Space, a company founded by game industry veterans, Officially announces the development of its debut title Warrior Epic, which is due to be released for the PC in the early part of 2008.
Warrior Epic is a free to play/free to download Online Action RPG. The game deviates from the standard MMOG mold by having players command an entire team of fully featured warriors. Players will also lord over a Hall that is leveled, customized, and built upon as if it were a warrior itself. The player's Hall resides in Providence, the last standing kingdom left in a world plagued by ruin and corruption. Their role is to build and level their hall, hire warriors, and conquer the lands outside of Providence.
Questing is done either in parties with friends, or solo. It is also possible to visit another player's hall and challenge their party to a battle in the PvP arena. Teamwork and cooperation is an integral part of Warrior Epic. Effective players maximize the strengths and minimize the weaknesses of their warrior classes.
Warrior Epic has already been featured on several prominent gamesites, such as Gamezone, Strategy Informer, Ten Ton Hammer, and onRPG. This promising upcoming title has already developed quite a following in the RPG community.
Warrior Epic features a type of gameplay that appeals to both casual and hardcore gamers. The game promises that a sense of satisfaction can be gained from playing either short 10-15 minute intervals, or all nighters. This is not a hack and slash RPG, team play and strategy are the primary focus when playing through the main campaign or PvP. Unlike other RPG games, the warriors in this game have spirits. If a warrior dies on the battlefield, players can choose to resurrect them or they can use the warrior's fallen spirit in battle as a weapon against their enemies.
With hundreds of hours of gameplay possible due to constant monthly updates, Warrior Epic will always have new and exciting experiences waiting for even the most hard-core player.
Possibility Space has created it's own distribution system that allows players who visit their website, be in game and playing almost immediately. Warrior Epic uses a very small installer, currently 300kb. When this file runs on a player's computer, it downloads only the content that they need as they need it. This allows them to be in the 3-D world and playing the game within minutes of initiating the process. It also makes it much easier to play Warrior Epic when players are away from home, because all of their account information is stored in the game servers.
Brice Lucas, the Community Manager for Possibility Space, has done several interviews about the upcoming title on some high profile gaming websites.
