(1888PressRelease)
May 14, 2009 - Toronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com ) has rolled out a portable optical fiber identifier (GAO820), which is designed to detect optical signals transmitted through a single-mode fiber without disrupting services.
GAO820 optical fiber identifier uses safe and reliable macro bending technology to avoid the disruption of network communications. Normal communications can be maintained with minimal signal loss while it identifies the transmission direction, speed and relative signal strength on its 5-grade display. This unit detects various types of signals, including continuous wave, live optical transmission, and low frequency modulated tones at 270Hz, 1000Hz and 2000Hz. Therefore it is used in any physical layer testing of SONET/SDH & DWDM systems.
About GAO Fiber Optics
GAO Fiber Optics, a member company of GAO Group, is a leading provider of fiber optical testers, measurement instruments, transceivers and fiber optical devices. This fiber identifier is an ideal tool for engineers and technicians to identify excessive loss, dark or live fiber. It is commonly used to display transmission direction, identify multiple signal frequencies and close packed fiber and pigtails.
