  • (1888PressRelease) August 04, 2016 - Prisma, a hottest and popular iOS photo editing app, has finally launched on android. It gained already a lot of popularity around the whole world just competing behind another new augmented reality game this summer, Pokemon Go. Users are modifying their photos with the app's artistic filters and sharing them on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Whatsapp.

Prisma with the revolutionary art filters creates the complete image from ground-up. It transforms a photo into ultra realistic pieces of art using the styles of famous artists: Van Gogh, Picasso as well as world famous ornaments and patterns.

The app uses a mix of neural networks, artificial intelligence technology and styles of world famous artists to a photo. After launching the app, the CEO and co-founder Alexey Moiseenkov revealed the secret, "On the server we have something like three neural networks for today. And each perform different task. It's based on something like extract the style from the artwork and apply to the photo and some tricks to speed up the process." He also said,"Prisma's art filters are not actually filters i.e., unlike Instagram filters, but rather the imagery is being created from a blank canvas - using the two data inputs to generate a final image."

Now Prisma Labs is looking to add the same effects to video as well. Alexey Moiseenkov, Prisma Labs co-founder recently visited Silicon Valley for a private meeting with Facebook, for a possible acquisition. "Photos is only the start. We plan to add something like the Boomerang app from Instagram. Like short cycles. We plan to add them in the near future - I think in July. And some sort of very clever filters where the quality will be superb," he added. He confirmed that the technology is ready, and expecting to be rolled out something in the coming week.

Prisma's concept is pretty simple. Users can simply capture a selfie or choose an existing image saved from the gallery and apply the filter which they want. The filters like Impression, Curtain, Running in the storm, Roland etc users can choose and apply one of Prisma's artistic filters in photo.

The app will take about a minute to apply the filter for first time, but delivers a stunning result after applying effects. Prisma is new must have app for them who love to photo editing. Users will now get a total of 29 filters for free that transform the photo into an intelligence work of art.
