MakeBabyStuff.com, a popular baby crafts website, announces a handmade baby quilt contest, with a focus on modern and hip fabrics. Not your grandma's quilting!
Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) September 09, 2008 - MakeBabyStuff.com has announced a "Handmade Baby Quilt contest" last week, inviting sewers to submit their photos, and possibly win a $100, $50 or $25 gift certificate to Superbuzzy.com, an online fabric retailer that offers modern imported fabrics.
"A whole new generation of quilters are emerging and with them comes a renewal of design using popular modern fabrics," said Amber Dusick, founder of MakeBabyStuff.com. "Baby quilts do not have to be pink or blue with teddy bears, we want to show just how stylish handmade baby quilts can be."
To kick off the contest, MakeBabyStuff.com has teamed up with several high profile craft blog writers as their "Handmade Baby Quilt Contest" judges such as Bloesem Kids, Posie Gets Cozy and Helen Squire, a quilting guru who has written nine quilting books.
Although entries are already rolling in, the contest runs through November 1st, 2008. To enter the "Handmade Baby Quilt Contest" or to view the current entries, please visit www.MakeBabyStuff.com
