October 31, 2007 - Popular artist, Charlie Zabarte, has been licensing his colorful POP-inspired artwork since 2002. His vibrant images have been seen all over the world and soon...the Universe!
Charlie's designs always conjure up a fresh new twist on everyday themes. This unique visual approach caught the eye of Nickelodeon International Senior VP Steve Grieder, at the time serving as Art Director for MTV Viacom. Charlie designed a series of MTV logos and related graphics for the MTV Networks for their cable broadcast.
After a brief stint as an illustrator for NCS Learn (Pearson Education, Inc.), an educational software company (formerly) located in the California Bay Area, Charlie has exhibited his works annually at the SURTEX show, Jacob Javits Center in New York City.
SURTEX is the biggest tradeshow of it's kind, bringing artists, art buyers and manufacturing companies together from all over the world. Through the years, Charlie has been very fortunate to partner with more than fifteen companies, all licensees of his fun and whimsical designs. Products featuring Charlie's artwork include, giftbags, giftboxes, giftwrap, hand-painted ceramic dinnerware, garden flags, stickers, candle jars, charm bracelets, calendars, throw pillows, placemats, table runners, fabric, stationery, and many more exciting items!
Aside from art licensing, Charlie is currently working on a series of large format acrylic paintings in the POP tradition poularized by POP masters Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and more recently, Romero Britto and Burton Morris. Look out...the POP world is about to EXPLODE!
