February 08, 2009 - Dr. Jeff Zwiren of Prima Center for Plastic Surgery hosted a talk radio show, ‘Polished Appeal”, on WGUN 1010AM in Atlanta. This is a first for our area. The radio show is a much anticipated weekly event that will focus on the truth about cosmetic surgery and the beauty industry in general. We will discuss the impact of plastic surgery and discuss ways to make you feel good, live better look great and be more confident about yourself. Each show will center on current issues in plastic surgery as well as weight loss, anti-aging, anesthesia, outpatient surgery, cosmetic dentistry and medispa treatments. Dr. Jeff Zwiren and his weekly guests will do their best to explain these timely subjects as well as answer any questions live. The show will air on Saturday from 11AM to 12 PM. On the live show, Dr. Zwiren and Cindy answer dozens of calls and emails concerning plastic surgery. The focus of the show is to reveal the truth behind plastic surgery and what is really involved. “More people than ever are deciding to or have questions about plastic surgery. We get questions everyday about procedures like breast augmentation, liposuction, face lifts, and Botox,” says Dr. Zwiren. “There are many television shows, articles, even entire magazines devoted to plastic surgery in general, but none are able to address individual plastic surgery questions the way we do.”
Dr. Zwiren says by talking to callers one-on-one he is able to address their concerns and common misconceptions. I believe that it will be a truly educational experience; we can answer common questions about plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as responding to questions that many are afraid to ask. There is a lot of curiosity about procedures such as breast augmentation, liposuction and facelifts. We are here to help people understand what is available and give them a basis to look as good as they feel.
We will also discuss the so called latest, greatest and sometimes suspicious procedures and products on the market. “Consumers need to know that just because something is new doesn’t mean its good,” says Dr. Zwiren. We need to get back to the old adage that if its too good to believe then it probably not true” We want our show to be a valuable recourse to the listeners in the Atlanta area.
“We want the show to be fun and informative,” says Cindy. She says people now email her at the office and even stop her at a store asking for plastic surgery advice. “I’ve learned a lot working in the office and I can help potential patients understand the procedure and help them through the process of deciding what is right for them,” Cindy says.
Dr. Zwiren is thrilled that the show is turning out to be such a big success. The show can be heard streaming live every Saturday at 11AM.
