According to Samson, it is a known fact, that C-stores and Bodegas as are unique in that they are large cash based businesses and usually open 24-hours and are conveniently located for quick in and out shopping. The nature of the C-Store, bodegas as a business makes it very convenient for customers. Unfortunately, it can be an attractive target for robbers and other criminal activities. Study has shown that convenience store robbers used a selection process before choosing targets and therefore could be deterred by making a c-store/Bodega less attractive to them.
As a trained investigator Samson knows that up until the moment of the robbery, a robber is subject to being deterred and with the knowledge that law enforcement professional may walk into and or be in a store, a robber and or criminal minded individual may be deterred.
