September 30, 2008 - The second in her fairy tale series, The Magic of Laven-Rock, by Dr. Mosetta Penick Phillips-Cermak, has just been released to bookstores .
Published by PM Moon Publishers, The Magic of Laven-Rock is a delightful story about sharing. Written for children in Kindergarten through third grade, The Magic of Laven-Rock explores making friends with someone who is different, and how one can even share somthing that is a precious resource with them.
"The Magic of Laven-Rock is a little different than The Wishing Flower," said Dr. Penick Phillips-Cermak. "In The Wishing Flower, there was no opposite entity to the forces of good. But, in The Magic of Laven-Rock, the antagonist is present from the very beginning. He is even a little scary, at first. But soon everyone learns that just because someone looks different doesn't automatically make then a bad person."
