April 25, 2008 - PluginPump Co. announced the launch of a new proprietary product - The PluginPump - to the household cleaning market.
The PluginPump is a handheld trigger sprayer with 3 feet of flexible extension tubing that fits most standard spray bottles. For individuals involved in household cleaning, or other activities involving the use of spray bottles, the PluginPump was designed to give the user the ability to empty the contents of a spray bottle while spraying in any direction. It also allows the user to reach surfaces that typically cannot be reached by an ordinary spray bottle.
Most spray bottles operate by drawing liquid up through a tube called a "dip tube". In order for the bottle to dispense its contents properly, the end of the dip tube must be submerged in the liquid. When there is only a small amount of liquid left in the bottle and the bottle is held at an angle, the dip tube will no longer be submerged in the liquid. As a result, the pump will draw only air. However, many tasks, such as cleaning table surfaces, require the user to spray for extended periods of time while holding the bottle in an horizontal position. When the pump starts to draw air, the user is forced to hold the bottle in a vertical position to "re-prime" the pump. This limitation of most standard spray bottles often forces the user to waste product by spraying in undesired directions during the re-priming process. The PluginPump was designed to eliminate this inefficiency.
Featuring an adjustable spray nozzle with a convenient hand grip, 3 feet of (non-toxic) clear vinyl tubing, and a 9 inch dip tube, the PluginPump is resistant to most acids, alkalis, and solvents.
