January 17, 2007 - The FDA has approved Plan B, a high-dose birth control pill that prevents pregnancy after unprotected sex by stopping ovulation. Plan B previously available only with prescription, but now it is easily available in any medical stores but woman still face obstacles to use emergency contraception despite a government decision.
Some pharmacists will not give it out, whether they do not want to see it on shelves because of lack of demand and many pharmacies refuse to stock Plan B.
