September 11, 2008 - Pierron Group of France, a manufacturer of scientific educational equipment, will present the Mesura® range of precision measuring instruments for use in education and training during the Worlddidac 2008 trade fair, which will be held in Basel from 29 to 31 October 2008.
Mesura® is a range of 14 measuring instruments designed to meet the educational sector’s specific needs. The range combines ease of use, robustness and readout comfort. It includes the Mesura® Voltmeter, which measures AC and DC voltage, and the Mesura® Ampere Meter, which measures AC and DC current. The Mesura® Wattmeter/Joulemeter measures both electrical energy and power transiting through the instrument, as well as voltage and intensity at a given point in the circuit. It works with any signal, whether alternating or constant.
The Mesura® Teslameter measures magnetic fields according to two orthogonal axes, using its bidirectional Hall probe, whereas the Mesura® Manometer measures relative pressure in hPa. The Mesura® Thermometer measures temperature, and the Mesura® Chronometer measures time or time intervals, while the Mesura® Luxmeter measures light intensity.
Other products in the range include the Mesura® Conductimeter, which measures a solution’s conductivity, and the Mesura® Oxymeter, which measures O² content within a given environment, while the Mesura® pH Meter measures a solution’s pH. Finally, the Mesura® Radioactivity Counter is a Geiger-Müller detector with a 45mm-diameter mica window to detect alpha, beta and gamma rays, and the Mesura® Colorimeter measures a solution’s transmission and absorbance.
All of these instruments are housed inside the same Mesura® casing model, which features an adjustable reclining faceplate and a large display screen (LCD 3 digits 1/2, 2,000 points [height 10mm]). A 0/+2V analogue output via 4mm-diameter safety sockets facilitates a connection to all existing interfaces. Using magnetic supports, the machines can be attached to a classroom board. They are powered by two 1.5V batteries, guaranteeing 50 hours of lifetime.
