November 05, 2008 - The unique IMA profiling system, launched on Ecademy on November 1st 2008, provides the most advanced method of communicating with new people currently available on the web and is the brainchild of James Knight, who has been successfully delivering his personal profiling techniques for over thirty years.
Through the completion of a short online questionnaire, Ecademy members can instantly identify their preferred communication style (High Red, High Yellow, High Blue or High Green) and provide other members with an immediate insight into how they should be approached, based on the way they would like to be treated.
“IMA profiles help identify common personality traits and enable people to get the very best out of communicating with each other. When we meet someone online we are dependent on words and this is why connecting and building rapport online is so challenging. We are told that there are 500 words that are most commonly used, yet they have over 16,000 meanings.
In dealing Globally where English is not the first language, it is easy to see why people are having such difficulty connecting when they have little to no non verbal feedback to go on and the absence of non verbal feedback has been up until now a barrier to forming widespread and meaningful business relationships online”, explains Knight, who has delivered his IMA solution to many businesses including Auto Traders and Princes Helena’s College.
In a recent survey conducted by Ecademy, over a third of respondents cited using social networking sites as their top activity for surviving a recession and Penny Power, founder of Ecademy is in no doubt that the introduction of IMA profiling will help businesses to accelerate opportunities to collaborate and do business online.
“The application of this concept is universal, and it makes no difference as to whether a person is a president or managing director or a part time parts delivery person, or someone who doesn't even speak English. A consistent, compassionate and caring High Blue is the same in Bulgaria as he/she is in the UK”, says Power.
“People do business with people that they like. Members with different coloured IMA's will be given clues as to how to adapt their behaviour style to create chemistry and avoid all too common misunderstandings. Likeability is the key to building a "mile wide and mile deep" network and IMA profiling is really going to change the face of business networking for the better”, adds Power.
The IMA profiling system will be explained in more detail at the official launch event on 10th November at Tower Hotel, London and at James Knight’s in-depth seminar ‘How to Win More Friends and More Business with Rapport Building Technology on Thursday 20th November at the Grosvenor Hotel, London.
