March 12, 2007 - Northumbria Numbers have invested in a new transfer administration system to handle personalised number plate transfers and can now offer a free transfer service for each registration number purchased from them.
The system has been custom written and uses database software for easy retrieval of the information required during the transfer of registration numbers on and off cars and motorcycles.
Unlike many other dealers who send out the certificate for the registration number to the customer leaving them to struggle with the paperwork and forcing them to make a special trip to their nearest DVLA local office ( which are only open MON-FRI , office hours) in order to assign their newly purchased registration, Northumbria Numbers send the customer a stamped addressed envelope and a list of documents to put in the envelope. The purchaser then puts the S.A.E. in the post box and Northumbria Numbers assigns the registration number to the vehicle and forwards the amended documentation and tax disc to the customer. They can even supply appropriate acrylic plates ( at extra cost ) if the customer provides proof of I.D.
This is a deluxe service for the customer at no additional cost.
