April 28, 2009 - Citing the emotional and mental stress, as well as a new life focus due to the present recession, as why so many people today are recognizing being stuck, Sarah Heekin Redfield, foundation co-founder, says, “the extreme stress everyone has been experiencing actually since 9-11, has done two things. Brought awareness to individuals that they are in fact stuck and in some cases, the stress has created the “stuck.” The good news is that the first big step in any positive transformation process is recognition of the need and desire to move forward. Lots of people have begun that recognition. They just need tools to follow through.”
Susan Estep, foundation co-founder and professional counselor, explains that individuals who are stuck in their lives are often blocked and not connecting with their soul, or hearing the language of their soul. It’s that connection that creates flow and the ability to begin to create the kind of life you want. She adds that we are all artists and our artistry comes in many shapes and sizes. But that our artist within, if wounded, will become blocked.
Using basic hypnotherapeutic techniques, writing in first person narrative, group dialogue, and meditation, Healing the Wounded Artist Workshop takes participants from recognizing the “why” of their block to giving them skills to begin to work on removing that block.
Language of the Soul Foundation has scheduled four summer week-end Healing the Wounded Artist workshop retreats located in the heart of central Oregon’s Cascade Mountains and high desert plateau. The retreat offers luxury accommodations and on-site cook.
