December 19, 2008 - Muscat - Shopping fair is open from 4:30 to 11 pm on Friday. “Visitor response to our perfumes has been overwhelming. We are happy that they meet the taste and feel of the Omani market. Sales over the last 7 days have been great” said Mr. Salah Al Majeedi, Executive of Al Oud Palace.
Al Oud’s perfume range include Eastern, French, Frankincense, customs, top shelf perfumes and colognes, fragrance gift collection and natural hair and body oils among others; being offered at ATF at best prices.
A valuable commodity in both ancient and modern times, the perfume industry has a turnover of billions every year. The Arabian perfume industry has evolved and adapted certain changes to accommodate the varying tastes of the market.
“Perfume is something that captivates our mind, rejuvenates our senses and bestows a feeling of freshness and energy.” he added.
With shops in UAE and Oman, Al Oud Palace is planning to open its own factory in the country. “We have witnessed the growing demand of perfume products in the market and setting up a factory in Oman is part of the company’s expansion plan. Our product range appeals to all women and men of all age groups.” Mr. Al Majeedi said.
A study revealed that wearing perfumes does not only trigger emotions but also affect one’s mood. Perfumes that contain ingredients such as ginger, sandalwood and rose are claimed by aroma therapists and aromacolagists to have health benefits that may improve concentration and have a stimulating effect on brain neurons that gives extra stamina and energy, balanced weight loss and improves the immune system.
Scents having Aldehydes ingredients have a calming effect on the brain. Other scents can act as a form of a sedative, aiding restful sleep and helps reduce anxiety and tension.
“Al Oud’s perfumes are distinct and they are carefully made to reflect the moods and characteristics of the Arab culture; they are very pleasant and are priced in such a way that is affordable for everyone.” Mr. Al Majeedi said.
