August 23, 2011 - Perfection Architectural Systems, (www.perfectionarch.com), a leader in engineered canopy solutions, is pleased to have contracted with Nassau Airport Development Company in the Bahamas. The project consists of constructing multiple aluminum walkway covers at Lynden Pindling International Airport, also known as the Nassau International Airport.
Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD) received all rights of development, operation, and management of the Lynden Pindling International Airport on April 1st, 2007. They will maintain a 30-year lease.
In 2008, the airport reached its flight traffic capacity. In addition, facilities suffered from being outdated and unaccommodating. Three stages were established to update the facilities and expand the capacity of terminals. The redevelopment is currently in its second stage, which is the complete renovation of the current U.S. terminal and other facilities expansions. Ultimately, Lynden Pindling International Airport will benefit from 34 more gates, 21% more terminal space, and the ability to service 50% more passengers efficiently.
Perfection Architectural Systems was selected for the project to manufacture and install multiple aluminum walkway covers. This work is commencing during stage 2. The following are the additions Perfection will provide:
• A 7,540 sq. ft. parking lot canopy
• A 1,200 sq. ft. parking booth canopy
• A 628 sq. ft. guard house canopy

The redevelopment will be completed March 2011. In addition to being able to support far more passengers, Lyden Pindling International Airport aims to offer visitors word-class standards.
