April 12, 2009 - The Association of Finance and Insurance Professionals announced that Robert W Linkonis Sr., Finance Director of Pearson Infiniti earned the AFIP Senior Certified F&I Professional designation. To become an AFIP Senior Certified F&I Professional, Robert was required to complete a rigorous college-level course on the federal and state regulations that govern the profession and complete an Ethics module jointly developed with the Walsh Institute for Ethical Behavior. Robert was also required to pass a final exam for each section, and commit in writing to abide by the association’s strict Code of Ethics.
AFIP Executive Director, Dave Robertson said, “An individual completing the college-level AFIP Certification Course has demonstrated a commitment to their profession and their clientele. A mastery of the laws that govern the F&I process and a signed commitment to abide by an enforced code of conduct will result in not only a higher level of service, but, for those customers who might not otherwise purchase the vehicle of their means, driving home with the car of their choice .”

Robert W Linkonis Sr. has been employed with the Pearson Automotive Group for over thirteen years. In 2001, Robert started in the Finance office of Pearson Honda. For the last five years, and currently, he holds the position of Finance Director at Pearson Infiniti. His efforts led to dealer group owner Max Pearson being awarded the 2006 F&I Management and Technology magazine’s prestigious Pacesetter Award. This award is issued to recognize outstanding commitment to compliance and ethics in an F&I office. He is married and has three wonderful children.
