Peak District Restaurant Jazz Is A Hit

Peak District hotel and restaurant The Maynard thinks it is on to a winner with regular traditional jazz performed by local musician Bob Ludlam, along with son James and The Walker Brothers.

(1888PressRelease) October 31, 2007 - Peak District hotel and restaurant The Maynard thinks it is on to a winner with regular traditional jazz performed by local musician Bob Ludlam, along with son James and The Walker Brothers.

The regular jazz sessions take place on Thursdays every fortnight at 7.30pm, and started on 11 October. The next dates for the Jazz night are Thursday 8 and Thursday 22 November.

Bob Ludlam, formerly a regular performer at Aitch's jazz nights in Bakewell kicked off the first Jazz night to great applause from an appreciative audience.

Paul Downing, director at The Maynard, said: “Bob and his crew are seasoned professionals and know how to get an audience going. Traditional Jazz works well in most settings but it works particularly well in a hotel and restaurant environment like The Maynard.

”We’re looking forward to seeing Bob and his band perform again on 8 November and feel sure that it will develop into a more regular event from the feedback we have received so far.”

Jazz at The Maynard is provided free of charge for diners and non-diners alike. Advanced table bookings are recommended in the restaurant. For restaurant reservations, telephone 01433 630321 or e-mail restaurant ( @ ) themaynard dot co dot uk
