Formoso of the Washington County law firm Peacock Keller co-presented the continuing legal education (CLE) program "The 2010 Tax Act: Implications and Opportunities," to the Probate and Trust Section of the Washington County Bar Association. The lawyers were joined in the presentation by J. Mark Munson, Esq. of PNC Wealth Management in Pittsburgh. During the CLE, the attorneys addressed estate-related aspects of the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and the Job Creation Act of 2010. Both Baker and Formoso concentrate their practices in estate planning, estate administration and business matters.

    A former attorney for the Judge Advocate General Corps of the U.S. Army, Baker has been a member of Peacock Keller for more than three decades. He focuses his practice on estate planning and administration, real property and corporate and business matters. Baker is also a frequent lecturer on estate planning and estate administration, serving as a faculty member for Pennsylvania Bar Institute programs and attending national estate planning seminars. A member of the Washington County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations, as well as The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, he also serves as solicitor for the Washington School District and the Citizens Library of Washington.

    Baker is an active member of both the professional and Washington communities. He has served as president of the Washington County Bar Association, the Washington Rotary Club, the Southwestern Pennsylvania Easter Seals Society, and the Friends of the Library of Washington, Pa. He currently serves as Membership Standards Committee chairman of the Greater Pittsburgh Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He has held positions as advancement chairman and roundtable commissioner of the Catawba District, Greater Pittsburgh Council of the Boy Scouts of America; and as a member of the Washington Hospital Planned Giving Committee. Baker is also one of the founders and president of the Washington Jazz Society. In 2006, the Greater Pittsburgh Council of the Boy Scouts of America honored him with the Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service to the Council.

    Formoso concentrates his practice in estate planning, estate administration and business law. He is a 2009 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he participated in trial and appellate moot court competitions and served as the graduate student representative for the University of Pittsburgh Board of Trustees Committee for Academic Affairs and Libraries. Prior to joining Peacock Keller, Formoso was a legal extern to Allegheny Court of Common Pleas Judge Robert J. Colville. He also served as a law clerk to the general counsel of American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. Formoso is a member of the Washington County, Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice before the state courts of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
