February 25, 2009 - The findings dictate that line managers and HR managers are very dissatisfied with the performance management process with 28% of total participants surveyed indicating that the time spent on performance management practices is of little value.
Having the correct performance management system in place that can help organisations align, motivate, identify and develop talent is the only way forward in today’s challenging business climate. Both business and HR leader believe that this process can raise overall company performance. Yet despite all the interest and focus on performance management, very few organisations believe this actually drives business value. In a recent performance management study by Bersin, 41% of organisations do not believe their current employee performance management practices play a critical role in achieving the business goals and executing the business strategies.
The main reason for this is that systems in place are overly complex, confusing, and time consuming with very little value being added. The solution to this problem is to go back to basics, keep performance management simple. An Irish based company Peachy People™ have taken this to the extreme with their development of peachy performer™. Peachy Performer enables companies to set business objective and allocate them easily to their team. The tool monitors each individual objective easily and improves employee performance resulting in business objective being completed in full and on time.
Peachy People™ have also developed Peachy Connect™ and Peachy Learner™. In development of these tools the main objective was to make it easy and simple to use for the end users who are predominantly employees and the management team.
