February 17, 2009 - PAVA, one of major players on the Russian grain processing market, will take part in the conference held by leading analysts Agra Informa Ltd. in London on February 17-18, 2009. The conference is entitled Investing in Soft Commodities and Agriculture, and looks at the viability of agriculture funds in the investment portfolio considering the present-day environment.
Along with experts on these issues, senior officials from large international companies will be sharing their outlook on the benefits and challenges of the sector. PAVA will be represented by Andrey Igoshin, the Company President and Galina Balaenkova, International Business Development and IR Director.
These events are considered as important sources of industry information and discussion platforms; and obviously, for the company in the midst of rapid growth and attracting funds, it is vital to keep updated on the recent developments. As was already reported, PAVA is offering a minority stake (up to 40% shares) in its subsidiary Russian Agricultural Division, incorporated in 2008 for expanding own farming operations.
'Investors are turning towards more secure assets of land and foodstuffs, as our current dialogue proves', says Galina Balaenkova. 'And we do not feel there are any substantial reasons to re-consider our plans of financing the project. This is a stable investment, underpinned by multiple tendencies in the world economy'.
The company plans to establish business contacts with potential investors, as well as exchange experience and opinions with colleagues from the agricultural sector.
