October 27, 2009 - Mercure Pattaya has hosted many of the revelers coming to Pattaya for the Oktoberfest celebrations, said to be among the best in the kingdom. Guest feedback for the family hotel in Pattaya over the period has been phenomenal, according to Mercure Pattaya management.
Mr Nicholas Lerat, general manager of the Pattaya hotel, said that "What our guests most appreciated over the period was the relaxed yet attentive attitude of our staff, in conjunction with the calming facilities".
"We tried to separate party-going guests as much as possible, to allow for a little more noise without disturbing other hotel guests. We also created a special 'headache cure' drink at M Café over the Oktoberfest weekend with traditional Thai spices, which was very well received!", Mr Lerat continued. Local media also reported that the amount of alcohol flowing meant that many revelers chose to stay in Pattaya hotels for safety reasons.
Oktoberfest in Pattaya was held on Friday October 2nd, and guests at the festival were treated to some food such as sauerkraut, roast pork, potato and German bier. The parties were often a mix of Thai and German traditions, and M Café at Mercure Pattaya contributed a great deal to the Thai side of the equation.
