April 20, 2009 - Elephants on the Wall, a Los Angeles-based designer of paint-by-number wall murals, will be demonstrating their do-it-yourself weekend projects at the Baby & Tween Celebration LA expo. The expo will be held on April 25 and 26th at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The Baby & Tween Celebration LA is a fun, fresh day for hip new moms, trendy tots and totally cool tweens where they can discover new products, including kid's room décor products.
Patti Newton, a former Disney artist, is owner and chief designer at Elephants on the Wall. She explains, “This is the third year that we will be demonstrating our Tape, Trace & Paint technique for all visitors to see first hand. They'll learn just how easy it is to get professional-looking results with our do-it-yourself murals. We’ll also be presenting some of our latest murals, plus introducing a new line of “Mini Murals” that will be available at all of the Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Superstores in June.”
Newton continues, "Some of the new murals that have been added in the last year include our Silhouette Series, a very popular collection of kid's room decor murals depicting silhouettes of little boys and girls in a variety of fun poses. These have proven to be very popular for those using the brown and pink or brown and blue theme for their children’s rooms. We'll also be showing off a healthy new addition to the Silhouette family which has 22 eyes, 11 tails and 40 feet!"
Another new and quite popular mural is their Peek-a-saurus door-hugger – this colorful dinosaur mural which peeks around both sides of the door is a big hit with the kids. Sheila from Alberta, Canada smiles and proudly says, "We have just finished the mural and we absolutely love it, it was so easy to do and it looks AWESOME!!!."
Fourteen “Mini Murals” are a brand new size and are currently available only on the website, www.elephantsonthewall.com and at the Baby & Tween Celebration LA show. Perfect for those slim spots or tight budgets, these “Mini Murals” are only one foot wide by up to 6 feet tall. They include jungle, princess, sports, fairies, pirate themes and more.
