Pacific delight announces early-booking savings of $2,000 per couple. On its luxury 13- and 16-day china and yangtze river gold exclusive packages. Tours, limited to 16 guests per departure, deliver a fascinating window into china's culture and attractions.

New York, NY (1888PressRelease) November 11, 2008 - Pacific Delight Tours has announced a savings incentive of 15-20% for those who plan ahead and book by December 31, 2008 - $2,000 off per couple - on its highly-regarded luxury programs to China's Imperial Cities and Yangtze River. Offered in lengths of 13 and 16 days with 29 departures from March through October 2009, these "Gold Exclusive" programs provide guests with an activity-filled, one-of-a-kind perspective into the country’s ancient history and culture while being escorted by the most knowledgeable guides exclusive to the company. Pacific Delight is also offering early-booking savings of up to $500 per couple on 12 other programs. Deluxe room upgrades at Five-Star hotels, Junior Suites with private balconies aboard Victoria Cruises newest and most luxurious ships, shore excursions and a-la-carte dining on the top deck, superb meals ashore and front section seats to many performances, are just some of the perks at this level of travel. Normal fares of $4,990 to $6,590 per person, double, are reduced to $3,990 to $5,590, a savings of 15-20%. Government taxes and fees, including the Sept. 11th Security Fee of up to $50, are additional. Prices are subject to change.

Three days in Beijing kick off the luxury adventure, starting with a welcome reception and continuing with excursions to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City's Imperial Palace, the Drum Tower, the Great Wall at Mutianyu with cable car ride, a Hutong tour via pedicab, and a visit with a local family. Other highlights include the Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, observing skilled artisans at work in a cloisonné factory and the possible opportunity to see the "Bird's Nest" where major events of the 2008 Olympics took place. Three nights in Shanghai feature a tour of the city's most interesting highlights - art and architecture, the Shanghai museum, shopping along Nanjing Road or Huai Hai Road, the Jade Buddha Temple and a walk along The Bund and former French Concession.

Xi'an is well known for its legions of terra-cotta warriors, buried more than 2,200 years ago – and is the centerpiece of a visit to this city. The Small Wild Goose Pagoda and the Xi'an History Museum are also on the schedule. And in Guilin, one of China's most scenic cities, guests visit the Reed Flute Cave, where colored illumination play off the extensive variety of stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations, adding to the spectacle. A deluxe river cruise along Guilin's Li River showcases the region's mist-shrouded peaks and includes visits to the market town of Yangshuo.

Sailing three nights on the Yangtze River offers the wonderful scenery of the Three Gorges - Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge - and the world's largest hydroelectric project, the Three Gorges Dam. A cruise excursion takes in the beautiful Small Gorges and a sampan ride (Asian skiff) provides a close-up view of monkeys and goats on the hillsides of the mini gorges of Ma Du River. At Fengdu, a trip ashore shows the new resettlement town built on the Yangtze's south bank, a farmer's home and a local market.

Pacific Delight considers meals and performances just as important to showcase as its tours and pulls out all the stops for its "Gold Exclusive's" participants – including a Beijing Duck dinner party; dinner and a show at the Tang Dynasty Theatre; private dinner reception on board the Victoria ship; performance by the renown Shanghai acrobats; and a farewell dinner in Shanghai.

The 16-day programs adds a three-night stay in Hong Kong with visits to Stanley Market; Repulse Bay; a sampan cruise to see Aberdeen's floating community and plenty of free time for shopping and other pursuits.

These two Pacific Delight "Gold Exclusive" programs include deluxe room upgrades at Five-Star hotels; outside junior suites onboard; all intra-China air/land transportation; top-rated bi-lingual tour directors; most meals; sightseeing, shore excursions and cultural activities; hotel taxes, service charges and baggage handling; and USTOA $1 Million Travelers Assistance program. Pacific Delight offers both coach and business class air at attractive rates, as well as single supplements.
