April 30, 2007 - Heavy metal pioneer Ozzy Osborne takes a fashion sidestep from music to release his Affliction Signature Series shirt at Solis on May 1st. This special edition line from Affliction spotlights athletes, bands and artists. Other celebrities featured in this line are Black Sabbath, the Misfits and UFC champions Randy ‘the Natural’ Couture and Chuck ‘the Iceman’ Liddell.
Ozzy’s music career bagan in the 1960’s as lead singer of iconic heavy metal group Black Sabbath. he became known for his controversial stage antics, arousing accusations of animal cruelty, and satanic worship. Ozzy parted ways with the rock band in 1979 and embarked on a successful solo career releasing several albums throughout the following decade. The 1996 brought about the hugely successful Ozzfest, an annual musical festival that celebrates and promotes heavy metal acts.
2007 will prove still that Osborne is still at the top of his game: Ozzy Osborne’s next album, entitled “Black Rain,” is scheduled for release on May 22. On May 24, “VH1 Rock Honors” will pay homage to Osborne, as well as Heart, Genesis and ZZ Top, for their contributions to Rock music.
