June 12, 2008 - Independence Al Fresco, 5th & Market Streets, (across the lawn from the Independence Visitor Center). Staff, board members, affiliates and partners of the Independence Visitor Center will be in attendance at a special outdoor reception at Independence Al Fresco, the new outdoor café at the Center. Guests will be able to sample food from the café’s “Presidential Menu” while enjoying the first of the “Music on the Mall” summer concert series.
WHEN: Thursday, June 19, 2008 (5 p.m. – 7 p.m.)
To celebrate the opening of the café and kickoff “Music on the Mall”, a concert series to be held every Thursday evening throughout the summer, in which guests will hear classic tunes from local artists in front of Independence Hall. The series is free to the public.
The Independence Visitor Center, located at 6th & Market Streets, across from the Liberty Bell, provides the region’s best event and attraction information to visitors and locals alike about Independence National Historical Park, the City of Philadelphia and the countryside.
