July 30, 2008 - OSRAM is pleased to announce the newest member of its SharXS HTI compact double-ended metal halide family, the SharXS HTI 1500 W/D7/60. The 1500-watt (W) SharXS HTI will join the widely used and celebrated 1200W, 700W, 575W, 400W, and 200W models.
At 1500W, the new SharXS HTI 1500W/D7/60 from OSRAM is undisputedly the most powerful member of the SharXS HTI family. Ideal for rock concerts and clubs, the SharXS HTI 1500W’s short-arc technology makes the lamp particularly efficient with high luminous efficacy, a color temperature of 6,000 Kelvin (K) and a color rendering index (CRI) of over 90. The lamp’s average life runs at 750 hours when operated between 1200W and 1500W. As with all the lamps in the SharXS family, the 1500W comes with OSRAM’s eXtreme Seal technology, allowing up to 450º C at the pinch seal.
