September 25, 2009 - A group of Orlando Chiropractors are offering an unprecedented opportunity to patients for the month of October. Patients can choose the amount they want to pay, with all proceeds being donated to raise money for Central Florida’s students and teachers.
Between October 1 and October 31, Dr. Jeffrey N. Shebovsky, Dr. Eric W. Feiter, and Dr. Robert G. Ostheim will give patients a FREE Initial Consultation, Examination, and 2 X-rays (if needed) - services which have a value of up to $250. In exchange, patients will make a donation to help raise money for education in Central Florida.
The fundraiser comes in the midst of devastating school budget cuts which have stripped hundreds of millions of dollars in funding from Orange County Public Schools, and which are likely to continue into the 2009-2010 school year.
“This is a great benefit to our community during these tough economic times, not to mention people losing their insurance benefits due to layoffs. It is a triple win in that the patient gets a chance to get examined, the school raises much needed funds, and our office gets connected with patients who really need our care,” according to Dr. Jeffrey N. Shebovsky, President of Central Florida Wellness & Injury Centers.
The funds will be given to the non-profit Foundation For Orange County Public Schools, Inc., which will distribute the funds evenly to the schools. These funds will then be used by the schools to purchase school supplies and to help support other student needs.
