ORG To Supply, Install And Commission Tele Medicine Network For TCIL To Connect 53 African Countries

World-class Medical expertise reaches remote areas of Africa through Satellite Communications by ORG.


(1888PressRelease) August 08, 2008 - New Delhi, India: ORG Informatics Ltd, leading system integrators in converged IT & Telecom domain, has won a transformational engagement from Telecommunication Consultants India Ltd (TCIL) to supply, Installation and commissioning of Tele medicine application in PAN African E- Network project. The proposed e-network will be used for delivering State-of-Art Distance Tele Medicine Application 53 African Union member countries into one network through Satellite, fibre optic, wireless links and electronic data connectivity.

This technology will allow medical help to reach the areas of greatest need and will dramatically expand the healthcare diagnostic education of Health professional”.

This satellite network will connect 10 Super Specialty Hospitals to 53 Remote Hospitals (Patient-End locations) in rural areas. Three Super Specialty Hospitals from India will link to seven from Africa. These hospitals will be fully equipped with medical hardware, cameras, and software to manage the patients, store and forward medical records and analyze digitally signed prescription and advice to the remote patients as an integrated package. Data centers will be set up for the management, maintenance, storage and retrieval of the Medical Records. The 10 Super Specialty Hospitals will have the capability of providing Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Training to Nurses, Paramedical staff and other health workers in the 53 remote locations using the network. The network configuration will support 2 CME sessions and 8 telemedicine sessions at a time.
