January 17, 2009 - The client operates a mission-critical Oracle environment, which must achieve 99.9% database uptime at all times. Prior to Xynomix' involvement, the client's databases were monitored and managed on-site. Due to the continuous growth of the company, a decision was made to engage with a third party that could fulfil the requirements posed by increasing data loads.
Xynomix were invited to tender for the support of the Oracle database environment. After an initial screening process and meetings to determine the client's exact support requirements, Xynomix were chosen to offer 24x7 support with full database monitoring and system administration. Proposed aspects of support delivery included Real-Time Database Monitoring, implementation of RMAN and the implementation of a Stand-by database environment as part of a back-up strategy and to facilitate ease of future expansion.
Steve Wigglesworth, Sales Director at Xynomix, said:
"Xynomix are delighted to have won this contract and look forward to delivering on every aspect of the agreement. We feel our Oracle support services are unmatched in terms of Oracle skills and dedication to the delivery of pro-active, preventative 24x7 support. We may be smaller than some competitors but our selection to support database systems of this scale and importance is testament to our exclusive dedication to Oracle and ability to concentrate efforts on each individual client"
Once implemented, Xynomix' 24x7 pro-active monitoring, management and back-up solution is expected to deliver unrivalled mission-critical support, stable systems and a reduction in total Oracle management and running costs.
