Optimus Academy Holds Avaya Aura Unified Communications Training For Its Channel

  • (1888PressRelease) July 20, 2011 - Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Optimus Academy, the channel enablement division of Optimus Technology and Telecommunications, today announced that it held its first Avaya Aura Unified Communications implementation training for its channel partners in Dubai. This training program, an initiative of Optimus Academy along with Global Knowledge - the worldwide leader in IT and business skills training, is in line with the Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist (ACIS) certification and will enable partners to deploy and configure IP telephony solutions across the different Avaya Enterprise IP Telephony platforms.

    Speaking on the program, Ms. Meera Kaul, Managing Director, Optimus Technology and Telecommunications said, "We launched Optimus Academy earlier this year to support regular product training, certification workshops, seminars and sales workshops for our channel partners. Optimus Academy has held several successful training programs and workshops so far and we decided to take things a notch higher by signing up the best IT skills training company, Global Knowledge to do our first Avaya Aura UC implementation training for our channel. We are confident this training program will definitely benefit our partners and enable them to achieve a level of proficiency that is required for Avaya Aura Unified Communications product family and prepare them for the next step, which is the Avaya ACIS-UC certification."

    Over the last year, Optimus has enabled channel development programmes and initiatives, which resulted in stronger sales and market share for its vendor partners. Earlier this year, the distributor rolled out its channel capacity building initiative, Optimus Academy, to continue these initiatives and to align with the vendor channel training and education requirements. The Avaya Aura Unified Communications implementation training program is another initiative from Optimus Academy to enable channel partners and ensure vendor's channel program compliance.

    Optimus Academy and Global Knowledge are conducting the first Avaya Aura implementation workshop from July 23rd to 28th, 2011 at Global Knowledge training centre in Dubai. The six-day training workshop will cover implementation, messaging and embedded implementation of Avaya Aura Communication Manager. Participants who complete this training will be eligible to participate in the next level of the program in September 2011, where they can complete their knowledge transfer to enable them to appear for the Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist (Avaya CIS) certification exams.
