  • (1888PressRelease) December 26, 2010 - OAKBROOK, Illinois - "I have learned that some 200,000 children are born each year with severe cleft palate condition," said VMI Marketing CEO Jon Kline. According to Kline many of these children will be unable to speak or eat, and in some cultures are shunned or rejected. "And in many cases," continued Jon Kline of VMI Marketing, "the parents cannot afford corrective surgeries."

VMI Marketing, one of the nation's most innovative and successful firms, teamed up with Operation Smile on December 18, 2010 to give 300 children smiles. With over 400 people in attendance, VMI marketing raised over $1200 for Operation Smile. The December event held at the State Bar included a night of food, dancing and giveaways. According to VMI Marketing there were over 40 different sports memorabilia for auction. Kline stated that, "We had everything from signed athletic jerseys to pucks, footballs and pictures." This event was just one of five charitable events hosted by VMI Marketing during the month of December.

In addition to Operation Smile, VMI Marketing has worked with or donated to many organizations that include The United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, Autism Speaks, The American Red Cross and the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. "At the very core of our business is people," explained Kline. "We believe in developing and empowering our people at VMI Marketing while promoting the people on our client list," the VMI Marketing CEO added. "As a company we want to empower and promote those organizations that are giving back to other people in our world," Kline continued, pleased with the results of the Operation Smile event.

Having a cousin born with cleft palate, the CEO of VMI Marketing has witnessed first hand the trials that a child undergoes before corrective surgery. "That's why this event was even more special. And to have that number of people give that amount of money made the night, on a personal level, a huge success," said Kline.

VMI Marketing works with numerous businesses and corporations conducting market research, new customer acquisition data, and customer retention needs. Since its founding in 1999, VMI Marketing has expanded to over 30 locations nationwide with an annual growth rate of 24%.
