July 26, 2007 - The Bronzes Of The Brave& Project was founded by Mr. Sam Patterson of Memphis, Tennessee, who was summoned to Washington, DC at special request of the Department of Defense.
While Mr. Patterson was raising funds, consulting with attorneys to make certain everything was legal, and filing the paperwork for his 501(c)3 non-profit, a few of disgruntled board members allegedly attempted to steal the project and name, even to the point of alleged filing a fraudulent Trademark application with the United States Patent Trademark office. While Mr. Patterson's Trademark application has been approved for publication in the USPTO Gazette, the Operation Never Forget fraudulent application has been SUSPENDED by the United States Patent Trademark Office.
Additionally, operation never forget was instructed by their foundation managers to cease and desist from using Bronzes Of The Brave& terms on their web-site and in their presentation materials.
