May 22, 2007 - MISSION & OBJECTIVE:
Our mission objective will be to each year showcase the best mockumentaries from all around the world. We want to gather all mockumentary filmmakers to celebrate and share the beauty and brilliance of the mockumentary in the center of it all, Hollywood, California. This year our theme is erotica... handled however the filmmaker wishes.... in lengths from a few minutes to 2 hours. They have given us their best.
ABOUT THE MOCKFEST FILM FESTIVAL:
2007 will mark the first annual MOCKFEST... sure to be a momentous occasion. The selection process was grueling but neccesary. 9 industry professionals on our staff narrowed down over 200 submissions to the top 23 MOCKUMENTARIES... 8 feature length films and 15 short length. Being the first of it's kind in the world, MOCKFEST promises to always take film to the next level. There will be three awards given out this year: Best Mockumentary Feature, Best Mockumentary Short, and The Zelig Award (for Excellence and Innovation in Independent Filmmaking).

Screenings to be at the Vine Theater. DAY 1 - June 1st, 2007 (Friday) - 7:30pm - 12:00am, Day 2 - June 2nd, 2007 (Saturday) 1:00pm - 12:00am, Day 3 - June 3rd, 2007 (Sunday) - 12:00pm - 8:00pm.
