Albuquerque, NM (1888PressRelease)
September 24, 2008 - Omniac Education has begun a new initiative to improve Albuquerque student scores on the PSAT. The test is taken each year by thousands of high school sophomores and juniors in the area. The new program includes special $99 PSAT courses designed to familiarize students with the test as well as improve scores and confidence. The classes will include a full practice test and three hours of instruction from Omniac's expert teachers on the basics of the PSAT.
The PSAT is used in part to determine finalists for National Merit Scholarships, and one of the focuses of Omniac's PSAT program is to help students who are interested in pursuing that goal. The new $99 courses will give students an affordable opportunity to get acquainted with the test without putting a strain on their families' budget.
"We wanted a way to reach out to middle and lower-income families in the area who may not be able to afford 1-on-1 help," says Joel Lee, Omniac's Director of Marketing. "At just $99, our special PSAT courses will allow students to receive expert instruction for less coin. We're hoping to see score improvements from students, but we also just want to give them a practice run at the test and a chance to find out what they will see on the actual test day."
The courses begin in early October and are running in both Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. For more information, contact Omniac Education at (505)-796-8279 or e-mail inquiries to info ( @ ) omniaceducation dot com.
