Old Colony Elderly Services Holds Volunteer Appreciation Tea

More than 400 volunteers attended Old Colony Elderly Services’ recent Volunteer Appreciation Tea held during National Volunteer Week at the Donovan Center of the elder services agency’s Brockton offices.


(1888PressRelease) June 04, 2008 - Old Colony Elderly Services is one of 27 private, non-profit Aging Services Access Points (ASAPs) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and provides seniors and caregivers with valuable resources and services.

Volunteers were thanked for their volunteer hours of service and their commitment to Old Colony Elderly Services with refreshments, musical entertainment, and an appreciation gift. The agency’s volunteers are a dedicated group, generously spending hundreds if not thousands of hours of their time volunteering for Old Colony Elderly Services’ Nutrition Program, Money Management Program, the senior cable TV show, "Senior Moments" and the Board of Directors.

“We are extremely grateful to all those who tirelessly dedicate their time and expertise in volunteering for programs to help elders. They are all amazing and certainly deserve recognition,” noted Diana L. DiGiorgi, Executive Director of Old Colony Elderly Services.

OCES serves the towns of Abington, Avon, Bridgewater, Brockton, Carver, Duxbury, East Bridgewater, Easton, Halifax, Hanover, Hanson, Kingston, Lakeville, Marshfield, Middleboro, Pembroke, Plymouth, Plympton, Rockland, Stoughton, Wareham, West Bridgewater and Whitman.
