March 11, 2008 - The massive beer halls of Munich’s annual Oktoberfest are a life-long dream destination for many suds-seeking souls. And while they certainly don’t disappoint, they are only the beginning of a special journey for a group of fortunate folks.
For them, a multi-country pub crawl awaits, with Oktoberfest only part of the journey. It’s a multi-city pub crawl called the “Euro Hard’n’Fast” tour put on by Australian touring company Thirsty Swagman (www.WorldsBiggestPubCrawl.com). Covering four destinations, it kicks off in Munich and also includes Maria Alm in Austria, Prague and Dusseldorf – home of the world’s longest bar.

Set to run from September 24 to October 5, 2008, the tour is limited to 24 people and includes all transport from Munich onward, 3-star twin-share accommodation with breakfast, entry to beer tents, pubs and bars, discount drinks at some venues, video production, t-shirts and even a bilingual party guide. Priced at $2,990 in Australian dollars, it is not for the budget backpacker, but rather an adventurous traveller or groups who enjoy spending time in Europe’s pubs.
“Every place we visit is distinctive - in Dusseldorf for example there are more than 350 pubs and bars within a single city block,” said Karen Logan, Media and Online Manager at Thirsty Swagman. “Our tour dates include Germany’s re-unification day, when more than 100,000 people pack out the pubs. So those on the tour will be getting a truly unique experience.”
