NYC Startup's "Hottest Doorman in NYC" Contest Garners Over 9,000 Votes, Crowns Winner
NYC apartment ratings & reviews startup Rentenna.com hosts party to crown winner of inaugural competition.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) June 14, 2012 - On Thursday, June 14, NYC-based apartment ratings website Rentenna will be hosting an open-bar celebration at the Chelsea Manor restaurant & lounge (138 West 25th Street) from 7:30pm in honor of the top ten placewinners for the company's inaugural "Hottest Doorman in NYC" competition.
The contest was a resounding success, generating over 9,000 votes over 2 weeks, with media coverage spanning outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, ABC News, NY1, The Huffington Post, and many others -- proving that New Yorkers really do love (or at least love to ogle) their doormen.
Thomas, the comedian in the field, claimed first place with a staggering 3,304 votes received. Perhaps his strong performance had something to do with the comment contest organizers made about the link between being funny and being good in bed? Thomas' prizes consist of a year's supply of all-natural, premium men's face cream, kindly donated by theCream (www.thecream.us), as well as a romantic tasting for two at beloved Lower East Side wine bar Sweet Grapes (39 Essex Street) followed by a night of bowling at date-favorite Bowlmor Lanes.
Adrian, the former Abercrombie & Fitch model, came in second place with 2,313 votes. Some observers contend the competition may have had a different result had Adrian's profile featured him shirtless. In any case, the second-place finish garners this model-turned-doorman a pair of Yankees tickets; who will be his lucky date for the game? Mets fans, please note that Adrian was given a choice of Yanks vs Mets.
And Bernie, the 6'5" dancer, came in third place with 1,778 votes. His good looks and charm earn him a bottle of his favorite spirit (Grey Goose or Hennessy, in case any lovely ladies wish to buy him a drink at the bar).
The Hottest Doorman Competition's fourth to tenth place finishers will be awarded prizes as well.
