March 13, 2009 - KANSAS CITY, MO. - Mobile Self-Storage magazine, the self-storage industry's only publication dedicated solely to the business of mobile self-storage, will feature several National Portable Storage Association (NPSA) members in an upcoming feature story about how self-storage operators can integrate containerized storage into their operations.
"There are two sides to the mobile storage industry: the mobile storage containers you often see in the driveways of residential areas and the larger, containerized storage containers you more often see on construction sites, commercial properties and retail outlets," said John Finnessy, CMP, Executive Director the NPSA, a nonprofit membership association dedicated to the advancement of the portable storage industry. "The containerized storage industry offers a different dynamic for self-storage operators looking to grow their presence and serve more customers."
As part of Mobile Self-Storage magazine's in-depth coverage of mobile self-storage trends, regulations, legal issues, marketing and operations, the May installment will explore the portable storage industry's benefits, such as offering a flexible means to expand rental space without construction costs, the addition of revenue streams like classic vehicle storage, and lower-cost container acquisition. The article also explores how strategic alliances between portable storage vendors and self-storage operators could be arranged for the benefit of all parties and how to find a good partner.
