December 04, 2007 - Novacel of France, a world leader in surface protective films, is stepping up the introduction of NOVAGUARD® 9377. This high-performance white plastic film is designed to protect car bodies against external damage (such as tool marks) during assembly, transport and storage. It offers nine months of exterior weather resistance throughout the world.
Novacel is fully committed to a policy of sustainable development, and NOVAGUARD® 9377 has the advantage that it is polyolefin-based. As a result and thanks to the solvent-free adhesive characteristics of NOVAGUARD® 9377, no treatment of discharges into the atmosphere is necessary further to the production of Novacel’s innovative white plastic film. Besides, as long as the film has not been soiled during use, it can be easily disposed of through incineration or recycling. Finally, all the packaging materials and cores that are used in connection with NOVAGUARD® 9377 can be recycled or reused.
NOVAGUARD® 9377 film is supplied in rolls of 200m, in widths ranging from 30mm to 2,800mm, and is 60µm thick. NOVAGUARD® 9377 has been specially designed for the automotive industry, since it offers enhanced protection against any risk of external damage to car bodies such as acid rain, bird droppings or accidental scratches and other tool marks. The specialist white plastic film is effective not only during production and transport, but also once the goods are being stored in a depot.
