February 20, 2008 - Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center hosted a half-day seminar Saturday, February 2, as part of the Pediatric Orthopedic Education Series. The series of seminars is held to educate pediatricians, family practitioners and other medical professionals from throughout the state about common pediatric orthopedic problems they might encounter.
TSRHC orthopedists presented lectures about a variety of orthopedic conditions and problems, such as hand and finger injuries, intoeing, outtoeing, bow legs and knock-knees, hip disorders, scoliosis and back pain, foot disorders, sprains and sports-related injuries. The presentations offered a forum for medical professionals to discuss and learn about how to diagnose orthopedic conditions, when to treat and when to refer their patients to an orthopedic specialist.
