April 14, 2008 - North County Health Services (NCHS), a non-profit community healthcare organization providing services in the north region of San Diego County, recently announced its 2008–2009 board of directors. At the organization’s annual meeting on Tuesday, April 8, Treasurer George Lopez, a board member since 2005 who is a long-time Oceanside resident and former chief executive officer of SER, Inc., was announced as incoming chairman.
“We are the largest, most comprehensive and oldest community health clinic system in North County and it’s important to us that our board is made up of North County leaders with highly relevant expertise,” said Irma Cota, president and chief executive officer of NCHS.
Other officers are: Melissa Brown, vice-chair; Diane Seaberg, secretary; and Rick Martinez, treasurer.
Also serving as board members are: Dr. Clyde H. (Bud) Beck, Jr., Adriana Andres-Paulson, Andrés Ramos Martin, Rebecca Pollastrini, Emigdio Lopez-Ramirez, Walt Steffen, and Shohre Zahedi.
The board members will provide oversight during a milestone year for NCHS as it celebrates 35 years of providing comprehensive, affordable and culturally sensitive medical care to families in North San Diego County.
