June 22, 2007 - On September 6th 2007, 7pm, Nolcha.com in conjunction with Nolcha Fashion Week present: Fundraising through Fashion, a gathering of entertainment elite, business leaders and Step Up members to celebrate philanthropy and the importance of mentoring the next generation of women leaders. The soirée will take place at the Prince George Ballroom-27th st. between Madison and fifth avenue.
Through the course of the evening guests will indulge in various designer boutique stations, a Michon Schur runway show, and a silent auction. Over 300 invitation only guests will come together to raise funds to benefit the Step Up Women's Network teen health and wellness programs.
LA based designer Michon Schur will support Fundraising through Fashion as she unveils her Spring/Summer 08 Collection. Nolcha Fashion Week is thrilled to showcase the beautiful and sophisticated pieces that have graced many star studded events, as well as appearing on celebrities such as Penelope Cruz and Rosario Dawson. Her collections have been featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, W Magazine, ELLE and InStyle, and were picked up by noteworthy department stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Henri Bendel. Michon Schur was declared by, Women’s Wear Daily “A Schur Thing”. Her collections not only embody the notion of a strong, regal woman, they reflect the taste of the Step Up Women's network members.
Step Up Women’s Network is a philanthropic organization for women by women. With chapters in New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago, Step Up’s active membership has grown to over 4,000 women and our network numbers over 40,000.
Membership is comprised of young female professionals and executives who seek a dynamic environment through which to network with other women, develop their own professional skills, and give back to the community.
