July 18, 2008 - Theresa Frizalone’s career as a New Jersey Transit police officer was quickly advancing up the ranks and shattering glass ceilings. After proudly becoming the first female sergeant and lieutenant on the New Jersey Transit police squad, the promotions abruptly came to a halt. The stories also addressed other claims of discrimination and retaliation lodged against the New Jersey Transit police department and its police chief, Joseph Bober, both of which are defendants in Lt. Frizalone’s case.
