April 10, 2009 - Among her favorites are visual art, museums, fashion, her artist peers, and street artists. McNeely also makes special mention of the films of Federico Fellini, which she says are very movement based. In addition to dance, Nina also makes short films and dance films as well as clothing.
This interest in multimedia art influences much of Nina's work. She's choreographed "Effigy" for the Walk of Hands Pre-Show, "Lusty" at Las Palmas, and "the Fools He Left Here" at the Fusion Choreographers' Showcase. Nina has also performed with Dee Caspary's dance company and has taught and choreographed at dance studios all over the country.
Currently she is a member of the often edgy Hysterica Dance Company in Los Angeles. Nina McNeely also performs with the almost indescribable "We Are The World". Not a band, not a dance company, they prefer to be called "an outfit".
