Cemone Glinton, Farrah Joseph and Nicole Vascianna united in 2006 to coordinate events that positively influence the community. Cemone Glinton of Mingle for a Cause, Farrah Joseph of Midweek Meltdown, and Nicole Vascianna of Grizzle Hill, LLC have all come together in efforts to give back to the community. As individuals of their own entrepreneurial ventures, these three women are currently fundraising volunteers for Love In Action, Inc. As young educated women of color, their goal is to give back to the community by way of support, entertainment, and education.
Mingle for a Cause is a quarterly networking event held to raise funds for local nonprofit organizations such as Honey Shine Mentoring Program of Alonzo Mourning Charities. Midweek Meltdown is a weekly Open Mic Poetry Lounge that allows individuals to express personal emotions with words. Grizzle Hill, LLC teaches teen financial literacy workshops, entrepreneurship, and professionalism to adolescent girls in at-risk situations.
Collectively, the young women coordinate hands on activities for several nonprofit organizations such as Honey Shine Mentoring Program, Center for Positive Connections, Kristi's House, and the Victim Advocacy Center at Florida International University (FIU) to name a few. |
