January 20, 2008 - From the creators of the popular Beach House Radio, Next Music Radio is set to launch 2 of it’s 4 new stations.
During 2007, the creators of the increasingly popular Beach House Radio joined forces with two new like minded souls to set about creating a radio network like no other.
Lee Marriott of BHR & Next Radio had this to say while getting ready for the launch: “The unique advert free broadcast policy of Beach House has proven to be more popular than we could have ever imagined. While BHR has is own music policy, we were approached by thousands of listeners asking for a similar service for other popular genres of music.”
Next Music Radio already have their website up and running and are currently test broadcasting next:one and next:2 before the full launch this summer. The full set of stations will incorporate new and classic hits plus a channel dedicated to new and unsigned artists.
“The day of the record company seems to be on it’s way out” continues Marriott “more and more groups and artists prefer to remain independent and use the power of the internet and expanding broadcast means to unleash their music on the world – our station (next:fresh – launching late 2008) will provide a window for those acts to promote their talents. The site will also incorporate a download area with all fees paid directly to the artists.”
Currently broadcasting are next:one and next:2; two similar but completely different stations. Next:one offers the freshest mix of music anywhere on the planet, where else would you go from an Elvis track to Kanye West? Next:2 meanwhile offers a huge selection of great music from the last four decades, including live and acoustic performances from some of the largest acts on the globe. All this advert free.
All details regarding the launch, music policy etc can be found on their website at NextMusicRadio.com.
